WELCOME TO STABLESIDE

Built from a Love of Baking and a Little Red Farmstand

I’m Kelli Bowman, a Michigan baker, wife, mom of three, and the founder of Stableside Farmstand. I believe homemade food does not need to be fussy to feel special. It just needs a good recipe, a little patience, and someone worth sharing it with.

THE LITTLE RED STAND

How It Started

Baking has always been a big part of my life, but it did not begin with perfect cinnamon rolls or a polished kitchen. It began with failed batches, lots of experimenting, and the determination to understand why one recipe worked while another did not.

Over the years, I kept testing, adjusting, and paying attention. I learned to trust what the dough looked and felt like, to notice the small details that changed the final result, and to keep going when a bake did not turn out the way I wanted.

Eventually, that love of baking found a home in a small red farmstand on our five-acre property in Michigan. I began filling it with cinnamon rolls, cookies, scones, breads, and other homemade goods for our community. The stand gave me a place to share what I had learned and, just as importantly, showed me which recipes people came back for again and again.

How It Grew

As I shared more of the process online, Stableside began reaching far beyond our little country road. Home bakers started making the recipes in their own kitchens, asking thoughtful questions, sharing their results, and telling me about the traditions and small businesses they were building around them.

Along with the farmstand, I share free recipes, online educational content for aspiring bakers and food entrepreneurs across Michigan and beyond.

Stableside serves local areas including Fennville, Saugatuck/Douglas, and rural Allegan County.

What Matters to Me

I care about quality ingredients, dependable recipes, and teaching in a way that makes people feel capable. I will always tell you what I actually do in my own kitchen, including the practical details that do not fit neatly into a perfect thirty-second video.

Whether you are here to make cinnamon rolls for Sunday morning, find a gluten-free recipe your family will love, or turn a baking hobby into your own farmstand, I hope Stableside feels like a place where you can learn, try, and grow.

Thank you for being here and for letting something that started at our farmstand become part of your kitchen, too.
